Project Notes
Slash Commands: Type / at the start of a line to add a heading, bulleted or numbered list, task list, quote, divider, table, date, or current playback timestamp. Dates appear as compact inline badges; click one to choose a different date. In MAKID Desktop, /feedback creates an editable feedback component that can start blank or turn pasted messages into timestamped points; sign in to use automatic parsing. /session and /bounce let you choose imported project media and insert a reference with playback and file actions. Bounce references use a full-width waveform when one is available; choose Collapse from the reference menu to hide it and return the reference to a compact inline badge. Click the waveform or its locator and comment markers to play that exact bounce from the selected position in the main player; hover or focus a marker to read its content. Session references can also open that set in MAKID Session Workspace. References remain readable on mobile, and the current primary bounce waveform can seek cloud playback; local-media actions remain desktop-only.
Table Editing: Select a cell and use the ⋮ menu to add or delete rows and columns. Drag the row or column grip to reorder; focused grips also support arrow keys.
Timestamp Linking: Type timestamps like 2:30 or 1:15:45 in your notes - they become clickable links that jump to that position in the audio.
Auto-Save: Notes save automatically as you type (500ms delay).
Audio Files Management
Bounce Table: Shows all audio files in the project folder with:
- Play buttons for instant playback
- File details (size, format, date)
- Share buttons for uploading to MAKID Cloud
- Outdated indicators when bounces are older than project modifications
Session Table: Lists all .als files in the project folder for version management.
Feedback and Sharing
Comments Tab: Shows timestamped comments from shared bounces and parsed Ableton session revisions. Each comment identifies its exact playback target.
Shares Tab: Lists share links created from this project’s bounces with play counts, expiration dates, and actions like copying or expiring a link.
Locators
Locators Tab: Displays the primary bounce waveform with clickable Ableton locators overlaid, plus a locator list for quick navigation.
