The Project Table

Basic Navigation

Search: Use the search bar to find projects by name, notes, tags, or any other data. Press Cmd/Ctrl + F to quickly focus the search.

Sorting: Click any column header to sort. Click again to reverse the sort order.

Multi-Selection Techniques

Cmd/Ctrl + Click: Select multiple individual projects by holding Cmd (Mac) or Ctrl (Windows) and clicking each project.

Shift + Click: Select a range of projects by clicking one project, then holding Shift and clicking another. All projects between will be selected.

Shift + Arrow Keys: Use Shift + Up/Down arrows to extend your selection one project at a time.

Select All: Cmd/Ctrl + A selects all visible projects (respects current filters).

Dragging Projects

Single Project: Click and drag any project row to move it to a collection in the sidebar.

Multiple Projects: Select multiple projects, then drag from any selected row to move them all together.

Audio Playback

Play from Table: Click the play button in any project row to start playback.

Drag Audio Files: Drag directly from a project’s play button to drag the associated bounce file to anywhere on your system (Finder, desktop, other apps, etc.).

Queue Management: Songs automatically queue up. Use the audio player controls to manage playback order.

Project Progress & Ratings

Progress Tracking: Click the Progress column dropdown to set your project’s status:

  • Ideation → In Progress → Needs Revision → Final Touches → Completed → Released → Abandoned

Tier Ratings: Rate your projects with letter grades (S, A, B, C, D, F) using the Tier column dropdown.

Right-Click Menus

Right-click any project for quick actions. Including:

  • Play: Start audio playback
  • Details: Open detailed project view
  • Open in Ableton: Launch the project in Ableton Live
  • Show in Folder: Open the project folder in your file manager
  • Randomize Name: To select a random name for your project
  • Share Bounce: To immediately create a sharable link to your bounce via MAKID Cloud
  • Copy Project Path: Copy the file path to clipboard
  • Archive: Remove from main table (can be restored later)
