Keyboard Shortcuts

Single letter keys don’t fire while you’re typing in a text field.

Everywhere

• Space: play/pause. Works from anywhere, except in Jam, which has its own player
• Cmd/Ctrl + F: jump to search
• Cmd/Ctrl + ,: open Settings
• Cmd/Ctrl + + / Cmd/Ctrl + -: zoom in and out
• Esc: close whatever’s open (a sidebar, a menu, a dialog, or Settings)

Project Table

• C: toggle the Collections sidebar
• F: toggle the Folders sidebar
• N: toggle Notes for the selected project
• Esc: close the open sidebar

Selecting projects

• Cmd/Ctrl + Click: select individual projects
• Shift + Click: select everything between the last project you picked and this one
• Shift + Up/Down: grow or shrink the selection one row at a time
• Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + Up: select everything from your current row to the top
• Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + Down: select everything from your current row to the bottom

Jam

• Space: play/pause
• → or N: next song
• ← or B: previous song
• 1 to 4: solo a part (drums, bass, vocals, everything else)
• Shift + 1 to Shift + 4: mute a part
• D: roll the dice (random pitch, speed, filter, parts, and loop)
• R: reset everything back to the original
• Esc: clear the loop

Click a knob and use the arrow keys to nudge it. More in Jam.

Session Workspace

• Space: starts the arrangement preview if nothing else is loaded in the player. Otherwise it plays/pauses whatever’s loaded
• ← / → on the preview overview in the player: jump back or forward 5 seconds

MAKID bot

• Enter: send. Shift + Enter for a new line
• Shift + Tab: turn auto approve on or off
• Enter: approve an action that changes your data
• Esc: reject an action

Actions that delete something always need a click, Enter won’t approve them. More in MAKID bot.

Mouse Moves

• Click the MAKID logo: clear your selection, or clear filters if nothing’s selected
• Double click the MAKID logo: close any open sidebar
• Double click a project row: expand it
