MAKID on iPhone
Take your bounces with you. Listen back in the car, on a walk, or on the couch, and leave yourself notes for the next session.
Setup
Make an account on your computer
Open the MAKID Pro page (the gold record in the navbar) and sign in or create a free account. The iPhone app can’t sign up, so do this part on your computer.
Turn on sync
On the same page, hit Put my 10 latest bounces on my phone for the free plan, or upgrade to MAKID Pro for your whole library. See MAKID Pro & Sync.
Get the app
Download MAKID from the App Store and sign in with the same account (email, Google, or Apple).
Your phone only gets what your computer uploads. If something’s missing, check the MAKID Pro page on your computer for anything that’s not up to date.
Your library
- Search across project names, tags, and more
- Open the menu to browse by Collections, Folders, and Smart Collections, the same ones you set up on desktop
- Pull down to refresh
On the free plan, projects past your 10 latest show a Pro badge.
Now Playing
Tap a project to play it. You get:
- Play, pause, skip, shuffle, and repeat (off, all, or one)
- A waveform you can scrub
- Lock screen and background playback
- Share to send the bounce
Notes
The Notes tab shows the project’s notes. Tap a timestamp to jump there. On the free plan notes are read-only. On MAKID Pro you can edit them and changes sync back to your computer. See Project Notes.
Comments
The Comments tab lets you leave a comment at the current spot in the bounce. Tap a comment to jump to it, or long press to copy or delete it.
Offline listening (Pro)
In Settings, turn on Make library available offline. MAKID downloads the latest bounce of every project so you can listen without a connection. It tells you how big the download is first, and if you’re on cellular you can pick Wait for Wi-Fi. MAKID keeps 1 GB free on your phone, so it’ll stop you if you’re short on space.

- Theme: pick from the same themes as desktop, or follow your phone’s light and dark mode
- What’s New: see what changed in the latest update
- Send Feedback, Report Bug, and Join Discord: hit us up, we read everything
- Manage subscription: change or cancel MAKID Pro
Upgrading
Upgrade to MAKID Pro from the MAKID Pro page on your computer. Your phone unlocks your whole library as soon as it’s done.
