Project Notes
Every project gets its own notes. Use them for to-dos, mix notes, feedback from friends, whatever you need to remember next time you open the set.
Opening notes
- Select a project and press
N - Click the project’s Notes column
- Right-click the project and choose Show Notes
- In the expanded player, open the Notes tab
Notes save as you type.
Slash commands
Type / at the start of a line to add stuff:
- Heading, Bullets, Numbered list, Tasks, Quote, Divider, Table
- Date: drops in today’s date as a little badge. Click it to pick a different date
- Timestamp: drops in where you are in the bounce right now. Only works while that project’s bounce is playing
- Bounce: links one of the project’s bounces. You get a full-width waveform you can click to play from any spot, with its locators and comments on it. Choose Collapse from its menu to shrink it back to a small badge
- Session: links one of the project’s
.alsfiles, with buttons to play it or open it in the Session Workspace - Feedback: a block for feedback on your track. Start it blank, or paste in a message someone sent you and MAKID splits it into timestamped points (you need to be signed in for the splitting)
Timestamps
Type a time like 2:30 or 1:15:45 anywhere in your notes and it turns into a link. Click it to jump the bounce to that spot.
Tables
Click into a cell and use the ⋮ menu to add or delete rows and columns. Drag a row or column by its grip to move it around.
Notes on your phone
Notes show up in MAKID on iPhone on the Notes tab while a bounce is playing. On the free plan you can read them. On MAKID Pro you can edit them too, and changes sync both ways with your computer. Slash commands only work on desktop.
